Despite rumours the Argentina international could leave White Hart Lane on loan, Brian Lamela has rubbished the speculation.
Following a club record transfer to Tottenham in the summer, the White Hart Lane faithful are yet to see the best of their attacking midfielder Erik Lamela.
The Argentina international has struggled to adapt to life in north London as yet, with the former Roma man only making three Premier League starts so far.
As such, Lamela has been linked with a loan move away from Tottenham in the January transfer window, with Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan both touted as keen suitors.
Despite this, when quizzed on Twitter, Lamela’s brother Brian has rubbished rumours that the star could leave in January.
Lamela understandably is thought to have concerns that a lack of first-team football could threaten his chances of making Argentina’s World Cup squad.
The South American started against Southampton in Tim Sherwood’s first Premier League match in charge but was replaced by Nacer Chadli in Spurs’ 1-1 draw against West Brom last time out.
