In what could be one of the most anticipated transfer chases in January, BetVictor has Liverpool ahead of Arsenal in the race for Barcelona star Pedro Rodriguez.
Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester United are said to be keen in the midfielder and it's likely that whoever wants him most in the winter window will grab themselves a bargain.
Liverpool are currently priced at 6/1 to land the midfielder, while Arsenal are at 8/1 and Manchester United at 14/1. Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid and Monaco are all supposedly in the race but are behind the 3 English clubs in most recent markets.
If Liverpool could sign Pedro Rodriguez, I believe it would say a lot about their title ambitions and would give them a huge boost to being the side that lifts the trophy at the end of the season.
Having scored 11 goals for Barcelona this season, he has still found it difficult to secure a permanent first team spot. He has started 13 games this season, with 9 appearances from the bench. And with stiff competition in the Spanish national team for a spot at the World Cup, the player may need to make a bold move out of Barcelona to prove himself on another stage and Anfield could be a perfect opportunity for the 26-year-old.
Barcelona on the other hand could be losing an integral part of their side and one despite always producing results is often looked over for more 'fashionable' players.
