Tom Huddlestone scored his first goal of the season today, which meant he could finally have his hair cut
You may have noticed that Hull City midfielder Tom Huddlestone's hair has been getting out of control recently. The former Spurs player said he would not cut his barnet until he scores a goal, all in the name of charity. He had not scored since April 2011.
It was thought that Huddlestone could finally have his haircut after he was initially credited with a goal on the 1st December in his side's 3-1 win against Liverpool. However the goal was correctly awarded as an own goal from Martin Skrtel so the huge afro lived on.
The huge hair would not see out 2013 though as Huddlestone scored one of his trademark powerful efforts. Not a bad 27th birthday present for him. He scored Hull City's 4th goal against Fulham on Saturday in their huge 6-0 win. He immediately ran towards the Hull dugout where someone proceeded to clip away at Huddlestone's hair. Perhaps that lock of hair will be kept as a memory of their biggest win of the season for more reasons than one.

Tom Huddlestone deserved his goal today as he has been superb for The Tigers this season. A real inspirational signing from Steve Bruce and one that gives them a huge chance of staying up. There's still enough time for him to come into Roy Hodgson's plans for next summer's World Cup, he is certainly a better option than Tom Cleverley at the moment.
Hull's win over their relegation rivals gives them a huge boost in the table as well as psychologically. It will be tough for Fulham to recover from this shock result now.
