£17.5m Arsenal and Manchester United wing wizard target comments on his future

Antoine Griezmann has spoken of his future at Real Sociedad this week - sounding noncommittal throughout.

Arsenal and Manchester United both came back from losing positions to win their respective ties in the Premier League yesterday - showing the signs of a side capable of winning the Premier League title.

David Moyes’ men will be buoyed by recent form - and will certainly fancy a shot at defending their title considering the topsy-turvy nature of this season so far.

Arsenal meanwhile are top of the league again after the weekend results - and will hope to still be there come May.

But to do so they must surely delve into the murky waters of the January transfer window. Neither side has the strength in depth that is available at Manchester City or Chelsea - and so plenty of players are being linked with both teams.

One player who is reportedly on that January radar is Real Sociedad winger Antoine Griezmann. He impressed in the games between United and the Basque club in the Champions League this season - and has also been linked with moves to Rennes, AS Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus and is valued at around £17.5 million.

The young man himself confirmed United interest in his services in October, stating:

‘’I know that some English clubs are looking at me and Manchester United is on that list. It’s nice to hear that but it doesn’t influence my work.”

A big Ryan Giggs fan he would love to try emulate the Welsh wing wizard at the club, and the thought of United being keen must be great news for the lad.

But recently the team has changed from United to Arsenal - with The Gunners linked with his signature both here and in France.

The player himself though has recently ruled out a move in the near future, but he again returned to the topic when speaking to Marca this week.

When quizzed on a January transfer he stated:

"I take a lot of time here and I think just to give everything for the team, every game. I do not plan for myself."

Certainly a less stringent denial of a potential exit than in the past - which may give any interested parties hope.

For now though it seems he is playing his football, and allowing his agent to take care of the continued speculation.

But it might just be worth a cheeky bid in January.
