The Guardian has released their prestigious top 100 players of 2013 list, with three players from White Hart Lane making the cut.
Tottenham have had an up and down 2013, with Andre Villas-Boas sacked as the club’s coach and a fifth place finish in the Premier League last season.
Despite significant changes in personnel, Tottenham players have been recognised in The Guardian’s top 100 players of 2013.
Three Spurs stars were included in the prestigious list, but who tops the poll?
Jan Vertonghen has proven himself since a 2012 move from Ajax to north London, and has shown his flexibility with performances at centre-back and left-back.
The Belgium international is a newcomer to the renowned list, and takes 57th place as Spurs’ top performer for the 12 months.
Brazil international Paulinho is not far behind, and has made an impact since switching to the north London club.
The former Corinthians man features at 59th position, after being the last in the 100 list last year.
Finally, the third inclusion in the list sees Hugo Lloris make the list for the first time. The Spurs stopper is in 64th place.
