Inter move for Lavezzi, with talks taking place at….the Emirates Stadium???

It is believed that the potential for the Argentine star to move to Milan was discussed at the Emirates Stadium….

One of the players that Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with in the January transfer window is Ezequiel Lavezzi, who has struggled for playing time at Paris Saint-Germain this season.

With the World Cup only six months away and the Argentine obviously keen to feature, talk of a move away from the Parc des Princes club has been consistently doing the rounds.

Arsenal and Tottenham have both been linked with a move for the ex-Napoli star, but Inter are also a suitor according to reports in Italy.

Ironically, Lavezzi’s potential move to Inter could well have moved a step closer to happening in north London, with unlikely negotiations taking place at the Emirates Stadium.

Both PSG president Nassir Al-Khelaifi and Inter owner Erick Thohir travelled to London to watch Arsenal’s clash with Chelsea on Monday night, with Gazzetta dello Sport suggesting that the pair discussed Lavezzi’s future during the game.

The pair are friends due to common ground between their companies and Thohir is eager to use this bond to win the race for Lavezzi’s signature according to the Italian source.
