Chelsea fans react on Twitter to Swansea win - 'I would love to see Suarez at Chelsea'

Chelsea kept the pressure on Arsenal with a 1-0 win against Swansea City at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea edged out Swansea City with a narrow 1-0 win thanks to a goal from Belgian winger Eden Hazard. The Blues could have won by more and it was important for Chelsea to build on their well earned point at Arsenal.

Jose Mourinho would have been happy with what he saw because the Blues were a lot better than the score line suggests against a team that likes to hang onto possession and protect the ball.

Chelsea moved onto 37 points and their clean sheet means they now have the exact same defensive record as Arsenal this season, which is a compliment considering the praise Arsenal’s back four has been getting.

There is plenty for Chelsea fans to be positive about despite the fact that Swansea had more of the ball in general play and the fact they were better in terms of their team passing percentage.

Chelsea completely eclipsed the Swans in terms of shots with 19 overall during the game, seven of those coming on target which completely overshadows the single effort on target that Swansea managed.

That goal threat is important considering the flack that the Blues received for the professional performance they put in at the Emirates Stadium.

Fortunately for Chelsea, they have an extra day to recover before the next massive challenge which comes in the form of the visiting Liverpool this weekend.

Mourinho is likely to make a number of changes for that game with only a short timeframe to recover but Chelsea are building some momentum when some have said that it’s going to be a straight up title race between Arsenal and Manchester City this season.

The Blues then face Southampton away from home on New Years Day with the Saints having proven they are capable of playing some superb football against the bigger sides at various points already this season.

Here’s what Chelsea fans have made of the result and the three points on Twitter.
