Is David Moyes bluffing ?

David Moyes

Manchester United boss David Moyes appears to be more likely to recall some youngsters from loan than look to bring in experienced players during January's transfer window.

Manchester United fans may be left demoralised when they hear the manager's transfer plans for this January.

With many speculating which top-class players can come in to strengthen a team that has gone from Premier League Champions to languishing in 8th place, Moyes dropped some surprising news on how he would look to rescue the club's season.

When questioned on whether he was ready to go in terms of transfer plans for next month, the Manchester United manager had this to say:

'We'll try (to bring some people in), but I'm quite actively looking at our own boys out on loan.

'Jesse Lingard, Nick Powell, Ryan Tunnicliffe - we've got quite a lot of boys out on loan. They're the ones I'm making sure I'm keeping my eyes on. They're the future - they're the ones that have been part of the club and been in the system', said the Scot.

Lingard has scored 6 goals in 12 games at Birmingham, Powell 8 in 22 for Wigan, while Tunnicliffe has been impressing in the heart of Ipswich's midfield, making 15 appearances.

Though it is undeniable that these three Manchester United youngsters have been catching the eye, surely it would be asking a lot of them to pull the Reds back into the title race ?

But considering some of the talent that Manchester United have been linked with, all this could just be a ploy by Moyes to distance himself sufficiently to keep business under wraps until pen's been put to paper.

What do you think ? Can Manchester United achieve anything with (these) kids ?
