With the January transfer window approaching rapidly, Chelsea will have an opportunity to bolster their striking options.
Plenty of centre forwards have been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, with one of the main names that of Galatasaray’s Burak Yilmaz.
The Turkey international was on the mark on Sunday in his side’s much-needed 2-1 home win over Trabzonspor.
Yilmaz gave the hosts the lead on 60 minutes, before Olcan Adin leveled things up for the visitors soon after.
However, Yilmaz struck again in the 68th minute to give Roberto Mancini’s men the three points.
Galatasaray are now eight points adrift of runaway Super Lig leaders Fenerbahce, who lost surprisingly to Karabukspor.
Yilmaz’s goals take the striker to seven for the season, with continued speculation over the forward’s future.
