The England international gave his side three points at the Liberty Stadium with a cracking set piece.
The case for Ross Barkley to be included in England’s World Cup squad is seemingly building on a week-to-week basis, with the Everton midfielder starring in the Toffees rise up the Premier League table.
The talented playmaker’s latest contribution was this excellent free-kick against Swansea on Sunday, securing three points for Roberto Martinez’s men.
Seamus Coleman had given the visitors the lead, before a Bryan Oviedo own goal leveled things up.
However, with the game looking destined to be a draw, Barkley stepped up in the 82nd minute to seal the victory for the Merseysiders.
The goal was the 20-year-old’s third of the season, but it is Barkley’s ability on the ball, vision and creativity that has really caught the eye this season.
The youngster’s manager was full of praise for Barkley in the aftermath of the 2-1 victory.
"You look at the quality of Ross Barkley and the way that Seamus Coleman has a massive impact in the final third. It's very pleasing,” Martinez told evertontv.
"The technique for Barkley's goal was as good as it gets. To have that sort of ability is extremely pleasing. To see him developing is a joy and he is a phenomenal ambassador for our football club."
