Mourinho answers question over whether Wenger is still a 'voyeur'

Arsene Wenger Looks On

The Chelsea boss and Arsenal manager engaged in one of the most memorable Premier League war of words.

In 2005, Jose Mourinho provided the British press with a series of quotes that would live long in the budding rivalry between himself and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger: 'I think [Wenger] is one of these people who is a voyeur,' the Chelsea boss began. 'He likes to watch other people.

'There are some guys who, when they are at home, have a big telescope to see what happens in other families. He speaks, speaks, speaks about Chelsea.'

Now that Mourinho is back, this rivalry may be reignited, especially as the two sides collide at the Emirates Stadium this evening.

Mourinho has the best personal record against Wenger having never lost to the Gunners boss, however, the pre-match quotables emanating from Stamford Bridge have not focused on the Portuguese's five victories and four draws, but whether he has any regrets over accusing Arsene of being voyeuristic.

So… is Wenger still a voyeur?

Mourinho answered, as per the Daily Star: 'At this moment he’s totally focused on his team and his club. He’s not looking to us. Peacefully, we are living without any kind of problems. I don’t regret it. These are football fall-outs, not personal fall-outs.'

Arsenal and Chelsea currently occupy third and fifth in the league table but a win for the former will reinstall their position at number one, while a Blues victory will see them rise to second, with an equal points tally to Liverpool but an inferior goal difference.
