Tottenham transfer news: Brazilian left-back linked and loan pair may return

A select round-up of transfer news relating to Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham are reportedly considering a move for Roma defender Dodo.

Football fans with good memories may remember that the Brazilian was linked with Manchester United as a teenager. But instead he opted for Italy where he has excelled.

Spurs have been searching for a new left-back for some time, and the 21-year-old is being tipped by Talk Sport as the answer to the North London club’s problems…or at least some of them.

In other news, former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp believes he could lose on-loan duo Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Tom Carroll following the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the man now in charge of QPR said, “We haven’t got any control over it. I hope it doesn’t happen as they’ve both been excellent loan signings for us.”

And finally, caretaker-boss Tim Sherwood has made no secret of his desire to take on the permanent manager’s role. And the Independent today runs an extensive and informative piece on the former midfielder and what he could bring to the club if he were given the reins.
