Back-to-back away wins against Aston Villa and Stoke City suggest Manchester United are beginning to get things right on their travels. Now all they need to do is start winning regularly at home.
Today is a good place to start, as they welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford.
A win could take David Moyes’ side up to sixth, while three points for the Hammers would see them climb a little further clear of the relegation zone.
United are definitely without Michael Carrick and Robin van Persie; while West Ham’s Kevin Nolan serves the final match of a three-game ban.
West Ham’s record at Old Trafford is not great. They have won just twice in 17 league matches at the home of the current champions. Both were 1-0 wins, so expect United to be keen to score early.
The Hammers may have the record this season for keeping the most clean-sheets, but they have won just two of their last 15 matches in the top flight. The longer the game remains scoreless today the more hopeful the Hammers faithful will become, but it is likely they will need to score this afternoon to take anything from the match.
What do you think the result will be this afternoon?
