While Tottenham Hotspur recover from a 2-1 loss to West Ham United (their second in all competitions this season) in the League Cup and gears toward bouncing-back at the expense of Southampton on Sunday, December 22, the fanbase of their most local and fiercest rivals, Arsenal, could not be happier, claiming that Spurs are 'the gift that keep on giving'.
Gunners fans have been increasingly active on social media this week. While Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have a greater gap between matches, a number of their rivals, including Monday opponents Chelsea, faced ties in the Capital One Cup.
Both Chelsea and Spurs were eliminated, though.
Arsenal fans have been laying it on thick, with one supporter even creating a mock Christmas present that could be given to Tottenham fans this season.
Considering how humoured Arsenal are at the numerous defeats suffered by Spurs this season, will it be the Lilywhites who have the last laugh, on March 15 when Tottenham host Wenger's Gunners at White Hart Lane?
Spuds always talk about getting a proper manager. How about they get a proper team first. #FOYS— DOSUNMU (@Ip0palomo) December 19, 2013

Losing twice to West Ham at home in the same season is superb commitment to mediocrity #FOYS— Lawrence Pullin (@lgpmachine) December 18, 2013
