Monaco owner Dmitris Rybolovlev has set his sights on Juventus tactician Antonio Conte and is waiting to pounce but Manchester United may challenge them, according to Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport.
Conte has enjoyed huge success with Juventus and is in pole position to deliver a third consecutive Serie A title.
But there have been frequent rumours that Conte has fallen out with Juventus directors, including general manager Beppe Marotta.
It has also been widely suggested that Conte will look for a new challenge at the end of the season.
With Juventus cruelly exiting the Champions League at the first hurdle, Conte may already be considering his future and it seems that there could be two major suitors ready to do battle for him.
Tuttosport reports that Monaco chief Rybolovlev is insisting on winning the Champions League next season and believes Conte could be the man to do that.
But the paper also claims that Manchester United could want Conte should they lose patience in David Moyes.
However, this would be a massive U-turn for United, who gave Moyes a six-year deal as a statement of their commitment and it seems that Monaco are much less certain of Claudio Ranieri.
