The 19-year-old midfielder has been a sensation after making his break-through for the club earlier this season.
Winning his first international cap earlier this year, the fleet-footed attacking midfielder has become renowned as one of the best prospects in the Bundesliga. 4 goals and 2 assists in the players first 12 stars for the club has been integral in their fight to stay away from the bottom three.
Reports had suggested that Arsenal were planning to move on the player during the January transfer window, but his agent has now moved to quash rumours of Arsenal's interest.
''We never said Arsenal are interested in Hakan, they're definitely not among the candidates.''
Although his agent has killed the interest from Arsenal, he hasn't ruled out the possibility in the player moving.
''In football anything can happen. But it is a fact that Hakan is under contract at Hamburg until 2016
''We don't feel any pressure and are not in a hurry to extend the contract.
''It is up to the club to move now and approach us.''
The player is likely to be on the radar of many clubs in Europe, and although the rumour has been quashed, it would be surprising if Arsenal aren't monitoring the players progression.
A move this January may be unlikely, but he could be a name to remember in the future.
