If one team in world football can out-muscle Chelsea in the transfer market - it might be Paris Saint-Germain.
This January both Chelsea and PSG will be looking to bring in new players to either establish their position at the top of the table, or indeed push on.
"If we can improve the existing workforce, we will. But, again, I'll be happy if we must have the same group in the second half of the season. "
With the money available to the cash rich French side they can pretty much hand teams an empty cheque with a players name on - so France Football decided to run a poll to discover which players the French outfit should move for in the winter window.
Plenty of players got mentioned in passing. The likes of Raphael Varane, Paul Pogba, Juan Mata and Yohan Cabaye all rounding off the top five.
But the player they want above all others is one just blossoming into a star at Chelsea FC.
Belgian international Eden Hazard is having a good season after an average start - with him demonstrating his best in a recent game against Sunderland.
And PSG fans obviously still have great memories of Hazard’s time with Lille in Ligue 1.
Because he is the player they voted at the top of the poll - suggesting he was the target they needed to push themselves further in the Champions League and to consolidate domestic dominance.
Whether PSG could afford him or not is not the question. The playmaker cost Chelsea £32 million - which PSG could easily afford - but Chelsea do not need to sell and are unlikely to do so.
So the PSG fans can keep wishing - but we doubt it will happen.
