Arsenal are again being linked with a move for Olympiakos striker Kostas Mitroglou, The Greek international striker has been in great form this campaign - bagging an incredible 22 goals for club and country already.
But valued at around £8 million his services were always going to attract the odd interested party.
Borussia Dortmund are said to be keen on his services - as are Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Arsenal will hope to bring Mitroglou in originally as cover for Frenchman Olivier Giroud - who has been struggling recently with the burden of being the clubs only top class central forward.
Olympiakos have previously hinted that they may indeed struggle to keep the striker should a suitable bid from a suitable team come in for their star player.
Goal.com’s man in the know when it comes to all things Arsenal Wayne Veysey has written today of his belief in Gunners interest for Diego Costa. The Spanish-Brazilian striker had been in sensational form this campaign - scoring 22 goals in 21 games.
He was previously a target for Liverpool in the summer but instead signed a new deal with Atletico Madrid.
However that deal reportedly has a £32 million release clause present which has given Arsenal hope of getting their man. They will send scouts to watch the player in action against Saint Andreu tonight and Levante at the weekend.
Whether the player, who recently became a Spanish citizen, wants to leave his adopted nation remains to be seen.
Arsenal have previously been linked with the ‘next Mesut Ozil’ Hakan Calhanoglu but today the player’s agent Bektas Demirtas has confirmed that previous reports of confirmed Arsenal interest are wide of the mark:
"We never said Arsenal is interested in Hakan. They're definitely not among the candidates. In football anything can happen. But it is a fact that Hakan is under contract at Hamburger SV until 2016."
