Manchester United transfer news: Baines boost, Colombian denies exit talk & winger linked

A select round-up of transfer news relating to Manchester United

Manchester United have this morning been linked with a move for Dinamo Bucharest winger Dorin Rotariu.

The Sun reports that David Moyes has been tracking the 18-year-old – who can also play as a striker – for some time.

Already a Romanian under-21 international, Rotariu would be very much one for the future. Or perhaps not, considering Adnan Januzaj’s fast-tracking into the United first-team.

In other news, reported United target Christian Zapata has dismissed claims he could be on his way to Old Trafford.

The Mirror reported at the weekend that Phil Neville and United’s scouts have watched the player in recent times.

But speaking to Mediaset after the match against Roma, the 27-year-old Colombian defender said, “No, I do not know anything (about interest from Manchester United). I just think about Milan.

I have a contract until 2016 and I want to stay here.”

And finally, Everton are reportedly considering a January move for Dundee United left-back Andy Robertson.

The Daily Mail reports that with the Toffees “anticipating the loss of Leighton Baines” to United, the 19-year-old could be a long-term replacement for the man Moyes appears to want above all others.
