Mario Balotelli's boots are headline news!

AC Milan's Mario Balotelli wore some interesting boots in his side's game with Roma on Monday night

Balotelli was always hitting the headlines during his time in England and he has left a big hole in the Premier League since his departure to AC Milan.

There were many stories involving Balotelli and his escapades in Manchester. Not all of them true according to him, but tales of him dressing up as Santa, driving into women's prisons, and buying quad bikes on a trip to the shops will remain in the memory for some time.

In the AC Milan Roma match on Monday, ex-Manchester City striker Balotelli decided to make something of those headline grabbing articles. His choice of boots showed off newspaper cuttings from throughout his career.

An interesting choice, but it makes the boots look quite smart and stylish.

Things have been quiet on the Super Mario front this season, probably due to Milan's poor form, but he still has that ability to get everyone's attention on and off the field.

Again it's seen him make a left-field interesting story for people like me to write about. AC Milan claimed a 2-2 draw with Roma which might not seem like a good result but given both sides start to the season, it is a credible point. Milan had to come back twice from a goal down. Roma took the lead through Mattia Destro, before Christian Zapata brought the home side level. Kevin Strootman regained the lead for Roma through a penalty before former Portsmouth and Sunderland player Sulley Muntari scored the fourth goal of the game.

It was the first time all season that Roma had conceded more than one goal. AC Milan climb to 10th in the table ahead of Sunday's derby match against Inter, whilst Roma are second, five points behind Juventus. Perhaps Balotelli could move on with Milan's Champions League hopes looking slim. If he did, I would love it if he returned to the Premier League.
