Would a Harry Redknapp return to Tottenham Hotspur be a popular or unpopular decision?
It's pantomime season in the Premier League; should old favourite Harry Redknapp make a return to Tottenham?
Fans are split, here are several comments from the HITC mailbag for and against the QPR boss coming back to White Hart Lane.
Moon: Please bring back Harry..................insane to let him go. Insane to quit on AVB having sacked Harry. Spurs top management is insane. What a shambles. Should have stuck with one or the other. Both so different. Harry was better.
SilverSpur: There are reason's for not taking Harry Redknapp back. But many more good reason's for taking him back. When he first came we were in grave danger of relegation from the Premiership, He saved us from that, then got us into the Champions league for the first time. The year Levi sacked him was a terrible year for him and i would wish it on my worst enemy. But Harry has something special with the Spurs majority, and his player management is second to none. He loves Tottenham Hotspur very much. no to Capello another foreign manager who knows nothing of the premiership at close quarters. For those who say Harry nearly walked out on Tottenham, well Capello did walk out on England. Give Harry a chance to complete what He started with Tottenham. I don't think it would be a mistake .
Fitz1: We played superb football under Harry and most Spurs fans would welcome him back with open arms! Please come back and bring Ekotto with you!
A noisey mouse: I agree, Harry should never have been sacked just for wanting to better himself as England manager. In the end Levy has made the biggest mistake in Spurs history and its he who should now go, leaving the way open to bring back Harry. I mean what was Levy thinking of in appointing AVB - a success in a small league but a flop at Chelsea and obviously out of his depth. Levy and AVB have dismantled a fantastic Spurs team lauded around the world and turned us into laughing stocks, and boring to watch to boot.
Dave Glass: Would love it....was absolutely gutted when we got rid of him..we played the best football I have seen us play under him.
Gary Fox: Forget Harry. He had 3 world class players at his disposal and got fewer points than AVBs team managed and scored fewer goals. He was a traitor over the England job as he stopped being interested once he was the media favourite. We went from 2nd to 4th as his team picked up 12 points from the last 36. He didnt save us in his first season....as he wrongly claims.....we had 2 points from 7 games with a team that had won the league cup just 5 months earlier but had stopped playing for Ramos. We werent facing relegation as Redknapp maintains in his autobiography (one of many lies). He is a fraud who has won nothing except one Cup in 30 years of management. But had 5 relegations. AVb had faults but lets not replace him with a chancer like Harry.
Bee1derful: C'mon. Harry had his go and did well. He couldn't take Spurs any further. End of story.
Ed: Would hate it, people forget the horrible losing run we went on with him in charge. Hindsight makes Harry look a lot better then he really was.
