Chelsea transfer news: Two colombians - One could sign, one probably won't

A round up of the key transfer stories connected to Chelsea this morning.

Any Chelsea hopes of signing Monaco striker Falcao may have just been smashed.

The prolific front man has been suggested as a possible target for Chelsea, with Jose Mourinho thought to be keen on adding firepower to his attack. However, Falcao has said he’s happy where he is.

“I am very happy here at Monaco. I don’t have a problem with the coach, just with my thigh. I feel better. I will play again soon. There is a lot of speculation around me, but I have a five-year contract and I’m very happy here,” said the forward.

The Metro has reported that Chelsea have lodged an official bid for Inter Milan star Fredy Guarin.

The box-to-box midfielder has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United this winter but the Blues are now thought to be in pole position to get him.

The reported fee is an initial £10 million with an additional £5 million accumulated through add-ons.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to offer veteran defender John Terry a new contract.

The Blues skipper is out of contract at the end of the season but Jose Mourinho is thought to have been impressed with the way Terry has played so far this season.

Turkish club Galatasaray are among the clubs linked with a potential swoop for the Chelsea skipper.
