Chelsea fans react on Twitter to drawing Galatasaray and Drogba's return

Chelsea will take on Turkish side Galatasaray in the last 16 round of the Champions League.

That opening Champions League group defeat to FC Basel seems so long ago as Chelsea recovered superbly to eventually win Group E allowing them a favourable draw against Galatasaray in the last 16.

It’s not the ideal draw that Jose Mourinho would have selected but it could have been much worse.

Chelsea will definitely fancy their chances of beating the Turkish giants over two legs, allowing them to target the last eight and regaining the title they won in 2012 against current holders Bayern Munich.

It’s important to remember that Galatasaray have some very experienced players and they are generally a very experienced club when it comes to the Champions League.

There are also key players connected to the Turkish club that have direct knowledge of Chelsea and of English football, which will give them a much better chance of preparing well for the matches this February.

Roberto Mancini is fresh out of English football, having joined Galatasaray from Manchester City where he won the Premier League title.

One of the thorns in his side during his spell in charge of City was Chelsea and he will already have a great deal of tactical knowledge in terms of the Blues’ players and the way they like to play football.

The other obvious individual is Chelsea icon Didier Drogba, a player that plenty of Chelsea fans will be happy to see at Stamford Bridge, even if he is playing for someone else.

While the love and admiration for each other is very clear, Drogba’s job is to help his side beat Chelsea and one of the ways he will do that is by sharing his knowledge of the club and the key players.

Chelsea are definitely the favourites but it will be fascinating to see how the two legs shape up.

Here’s what Chelsea fans have made of the draw via Twitter.
