Arsenal transfer news: £3.6m could get Barca teenager, striker target's desire to play for a 'big team'

A round up of the key transfer stories about Arsenal this morning.

Arsenal will have to pay £3.6 million to get their hands on Antonio Sanabria.

The Mirror has reported that the Barcelona teenager has a buy out clause in his current contract which states that figure is needed to trigger the Spanish giants into considering a deal.

Sanabria is rated as the next Lionel Messi in Spain and has appeared for the Paraguay national side already despite being only 17-years-old.

Arsenal have been put on red alert after Swansea star Michu admitted he could leave the Welsh club.

Michu has struggled to replicate the success of his first season in English football but remains a reported target for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

“Every player dreams about playing in big teams, clubs who play in the Champions League and fight for titles - I’m very happy at Swansea but it is obvious that every player wants to grow up and see how far you can go,” said the Spaniard.

Arsenal defender Bacary Sagna has confirmed that he is negotiating a new contract with the North London club.

Sagna is currently out of contract at Arsenal next year and has been linked with several moves to go and play Ligue One football in France.

“I've still got six months on my contract with Arsenal. We are in negotiations. It's an option to go somewhere in January but I always had a good relationship with Arsenal,” said the Frenchman.
