Tottenham - 'We might be seeing Tim Sherwood in charge of the team'

André Villas Boas

Here's something sent in by a Tottenham fan after Sunday's 5-0 home defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

'Absolutely atrocious. 5-0 loss at home, really ?

Regardless of the sending off, the team looked out of sorts. Tottenham manager AVB is determined to play a high line defensive set-up, regardless of the personnel. Capoue is stand-in at centre-back, but paired with Dawson - who typifies an English defender (slow, horrible positional sense, and easily turned) - you get what we saw Sunday; average - the only one who looked good at the back was Walker.

I am sick and tired of AVB having players in positions they don't normally play. Why couldn't Fryers start at the left-back instead of Naughton ? Rogers must've looked at the line up and laughed. Sterling ruined Naughton.

And I have no idea what AVB is doing in the midfield, and I believe this is the general consensus of the Spurs fans.

If Tottenham sack him in the morning, I won't be surprised - even under Redknapp we weren't this lost and anemic in front of goal. In the space of 6 matches, Tottenham have been thumped 6-0 and 5-0. We have scored a total of 6 goals and conceded 16.

W2, D1, L3 - and two of those victories came against struggling Fulham and Sunderland. Spurs were poor Sunday. If Steve Clarke got the sack for a bad run of form, what makes AVB's position any less vulnerable ?

I have a feeling we might be seeing Tim Sherwood in charge of the team in the near future.
