Lord Sugar does not think that Andre Villas-Boas will get sacked just yet.
Tottenham Hotspur’s season reached new lows this evening - as Liverpool absolutely thrashed Andre Villas-Boas’ side at White Hart Lane.
Jordan Henderson, Joe Allen and Luis Suarez tore the Tottenham team apart for 90 minutes and this a Liverpool team without captain fantastic Steven Gerrard - ran out 5-0 winners in North London.
AVB has already been under pressure once this season after a 6-0 defeat to Manchester City - but to lose 5-0 at home to Liverpool is simply unacceptable and it seems the fans have now given up on the Portuguese manager.
In fact on Twitter there are already grumblings from foreign sites that he has already gone - but you might have to wait for confirmation on that one. One thing for sure, Daniel Levy did not look happy in the stands.
One very famous face who knows how difficult it is to make the big decisions at Tottenham Hotspur is Lord Sugar.
He has previously been criticised by Andre Villas-Boas for his apparent ‘agenda’ against the manager - so now he refrains from direct criticism of the former Chelsea boss.
But his selection of tongue in cheek Tweets this evening certainly suggest he has had enough of the manager…
We got a lesson today at Spurs what a good team looks like . Sorry I am not allowed to critise AVB— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) December 15, 2013
"@GaryLineker: Hmmmm 6-0 at Manchester City. 5-0 at home to Liverpool. Difficult times for AVB.".....get off the fence join me in AVB out— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) December 15, 2013
"@piersmorgan: Even when Arsenal get absolutely stuffed, Spurs still manage to get stuffed even more horrendously. Comical. AGREED— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) December 15, 2013
Spurs playing West Ham Wednesday in a cup game. I would have had us down to win that. If we lose that badly then I feel AVB is dead meat.— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) December 15, 2013
Things would have to be dire like losing next 5 PL games for chairman to fire AVB. Les Ferdinand/Tim Sherwood would take temporary control— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) December 15, 2013
