Who are the Premier League's ultimate penalty kings?

Find out which club have the Premier League's best penalty record...

Penalty kicks. Loved by some, loathed by many.

So often the bane of an Englishman's life, especially when it comes to international competition.

England bowed out of Euro 2012 after shoot-out defeat to Italy, after crashing out of the 2004 European Championships and 2006 World Cup on penalties. Both of those two defeats came against Portugal.

But when it comes to domestic competition, who are the penalty kings?

Look no further than the south coast. They've had Le Tissier, and currently enjoying the spot-kick skills of Rickie Lambert. Both heroic number seven's are renowned for the ability from a dead ball, most notably penalty kicks.

Le Tissier famously converted 47 out of 48 career penalties, whilst Lambert is yet to miss for Southampton.

Lambert, a £1m arrival from Bristol Rovers in 2009, has scored every one of his 33 penalties for the Saints during their climb from League One to the top half of the Premier League.

In Premier League history, Southampton have scored 50 out of 52 penalty kicks.

Perhaps this is a fact Roy Hodgson would like to consider before selecting his squad for the forthcoming World Cup...
