Since entering the Premier League in 2001, Fulham have been a bit of a soft touch on their travels.
Moreover, recent form has seen them lose 5 of their last 6 away matches, failing to find the net in each loss.
The injury to Brede Hangeland hasn’t helped their cause, conceding 2 goals or more in the last 3 games away from Craven Cottage.
Over the years, If it wasn’t for solid home form, Fulham would probably be playing in the Championship this weekend.
Everton on the other hand have been notoriously solid in front of the Goodison Park faithful, undefeated in 16 and claiming some credible wins against top opposition, including Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea in mid-September.
So is it any surprise that Fulham have yet to win at Goodison Park since their Premier League debut in 2001, and is it any surprise that Everton have notched a whopping 10 (Yes I did just say 10) straight victories over their fellow Premier League strugglers?
A common scoreline during those results is a tight 2-1 win to the home side.
However, that’s when Fulham have managed to make a game of it. On the flip side, they’ve come off far worse including a 4-0 hammering in 2012.
It would take a brave man to bet against Everton on Saturday afternoon, and the bookies odds of a 9/1 away win suggests that.
