Tottenham Hotspur head in to the half-time dressing-room at White Hart Lane 2-1 up against final group game opponents Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday, December 12 and, if the result stays favourable to the Spurs, the Lilywhites will have extended their 100% record in Group K having gone on to collect 18 points from six available matches.
There is naturally a vocal enthusiasm emanating from N17, but Tottenham supporters are not the only fanbase watching their game on ITV… their local rivals Arsenal are also monitoring their progress but, rather than commend their Europa League run, the Gunners are mocking the level of football that Anzhi operate at, claiming it to be League 2, or even Sunday league.
One social media poster even mentioned that, with this lead and with Roberto Soldado's two first-half goals, there will likely be an upcoming DVD release on the club's official website in order to celebrate the win.
