I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 12th December 2013, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 12th December 2012…
It was all kicking off at The Emirates a year ago today - as the fallout from their disappointing defeat at the hands of Bradford City continued.
And as many pundits picked at the wreckage if this crash one noise was becoming louder and louder on the black box.
It seemed that many an Arsenal fan had finally given up on the Frenchman after the match - and wanted him gone.
A year later he is enjoying perhaps his best spell in charge of The Gunners in years. The Arsenal board deserve credit for sticking by their man.
Hands and Dempsey's
Fulham retracted a complaint to the Premier League that Liverpool had tapped up Clint Dempsey in the summer.
Liverpool reportedly made it known to the American he was wanted without the knowledge of Fulham FC and they even posted on their official website that a deal had been done.
In the end Fulham were left furious with Liverpool and Dempsey ended up at Tottenham Hotspur.
And Liverpool chairman Tom Werner had to deal a grovelling apology to Mohamed Al-Fayed, then Fulham owner, in order for the complaint to be dropped.
A Sterling move
Sterling had recently won his first full cap for England and Morgan said:
“I think United should attempt to buy Liverpool’s left winger Raheem Sterling. Sterling is the first winger I have seen in a long time who looks like a proper winger. He looks very good already and I think he is going to be great.”
Sterling went off the boil not long after this - but has recently come good again fir the Reds.
