VIDEO: Former Liverpool target upstages Spain's most sought after striker

Arsenal and Chelsea target Diego Costa netted his 19th goal of the season as Atletico Madrid beat Porto for a fifth group win in six games.

As Brazilian/Spaniard Diego Costa found the net for his 19th goal in 20 games, one time Liverpool target Raul Garcia trumped him with an outstanding goal from an impossible angle.

Liverpool will be ruing their inability to sign either player, with red-hot Atletico frontman Costa counting Cristiano Ronaldo as the only player to outscore him in Spain this year.

In the difficult match with Portuguese champions Porto, the Spanish team will be grateful that Costa and Garcia, another former Red's target, are still with the club after they scored the goals to put the icing on Atletico's outstanding group qualification.

Costa, who is also being pursued by Arsenal, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund, scored the second from a tight angle after beating the Porto offside trap, but it was Raul Garcia's opener that was a joy to behold.

The midfielder held off the challenge of defender Maicon, taking a long-throw on his chest before turning and smashing the ball in off the bar at the near post. The strike is sure to ignite further interest in him once again, with the former Osasuna man scoring an outstanding 9 goals in 19 games this season, the same he scored in 47 games last year, and with Atletico level with Barcelona at the La Liga summit, Los Indios will want to keep hold of their star.
