Davy Klaassen is creating quite a stir in the fledgling days of his career, and has been linked with the north London giants.
The fabled Ajax youth academy has produced some of the top Dutch players over the generations, with the Amsterdam club seemingly a breeding ground for top talent.
The latest off the Amsterdam Arena outfit’s conveyor belt is Davy Klaassen; a 20-year-old attacking midfielder with incredible technique and an eye for goal.
The youngster has shot onto the scene this season with some excellent individual performances for the Ajax senior side, and netted a hat-trick for the club earlier this month in a 4-0 win over Breda.
As such, Arsenal are being linked with the player, who is being coined as the ‘new Bergkamp’, with the north Londoners weighing up a bid for the talented midfielder.
However, despite the interest from abroad, Klaassen is remaining calm over his prospects for the future.
"Ajax has been all my life my club and I feel perfectly well here," he stated to Dutch media.
Klaassen’s current contract runs until 2016, and the Eredivisie champions will be keen to extend this deal as soon as possible to stave off foreign suitors.
The midfielder has been in the Ajax system since the tender age of 11, while he has also represented the Netherlands at age grade level from under-16’s through to under-21’s – who he has played for four times this year.
