Transfer Clock: Arsenal, Chelsea alerted on €45m whizkid; Bayern-conqueror wanted by Monaco

Vincent Kompany PL Trophy

Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Sunderland and Manchester City all feature.

10 days down, 21 to go until the transfer window re-opens. Here is our midnight round-up of the top five stories of the past 24 hours.

1) Julian Draxler has alerted teams chasing his signature by admitting he is not happy at his current role at Schalke. He told Kicker: "I have now resigned myself to the fact that I am not welcome in the number 10 position here at Schalke, I am still convinced to be as dangerous just outside the centre. Even though I perhaps am the only one who thinks this." Draxler has previously been linked with Manchester United, while it waas recently reported Arsenal are favourites for his signature- although at the Gunners he faces playing second fiddle to Mesut Ozil. The Evening Standard report both Arsenal and Chelsea are on alert for his signature. Draxler has a 45m release clause in his contract, but has always maintained he will not move until the summer.

2) Sunderland want to sign QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, according to The Mail. Cesar remains the Brazil number one but is desperate to move on because he has not played a single minute for the West London side this season. Sunderland already have goalkeepers Vito Mannone, Jordan Pickford and Keiran Westwood on their books.

3) Inter Milan defender Andrea Rannocchia is set to hand in a transfer request write The Express, potentially alerting Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham. You know, just to cover all bases. Ranocchia, 25, has 12 caps for Italy and is rated at £15 million. His contract expires in 18 months time. Inter have just been taken over so have no real necessity to sell, other than to balance the books ahead of a upcoming spending spree.

4) Bacary Sagna is keeping his options open over an Arsenal exit report Sky Italia's football expert Gianluca di Marzio. He claims the Frenchman's advisors have been in contact with AC Milan and Napoli over a transfer. Sagna's contract expires next summer and talks between the French international at the club have hit a deadlock.

5) AS Monaco have been linked with an ambitious move for Manchester City's Vincent Kompany, who led his side to a famous win away at Bayern Munich this evening. The Express claim the Ligue 1 side want to bid £17 million for the Belgian, but in our opinion they could treble it and City would not be interested. One for the Transfer Bin.
