I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 11th December 2013, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 11th December 2012…
Arsed that up!
Arsenal were defeated by Bradford City in the League Cup. Arsenal went into the game at Valley Parade knowing that they were full expected to beat The Bantams of League Two comfortably - but Wenger still put out a very strong team worth £66.8 million compared to the £7,500 it cost Phil Parkinson to assemble his plucky troops.
They won on penalties after Thomas Vermaelen, Marouane Chamakh and Santi Cazorla missed for the Premier League side.
The game also featured a horrendous miss from Gervinho - as the pressure on Wenger looked like finally telling.
Bradford made it to the final where they were thrashed by Swansea, and a year later Arsenal are now top of the league.
Not what he knee-ded
Chelsea lost Oriol Romeu for six months. The Spanish midfielder looked like becoming a much more regular feature in the first-team under Rafa Benitez - but just before he was due to fly out with the rest of the team to the Club World Cup in Japan he tore his anterior cruciate ligament and was ruled out for the rest of the season.
He has not played for Chelsea since and is now on loan at Valencia.
Walcott and RVP re-United
The England winger’s contract expired in the summer and United were just the latest in a long line of teams said to be keen on a deal.
However - the deal never came off and Walcott signed a new deal with The Gunners in January.
