Ex Liverpool and Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez has lauded his opposite number this evening, labeling the Frenchman as the best in England.
With a five point cushion at the top of the Premier League, the best coach, a number of the most in-form stars in England such as box-to-box midfielder Aaron Ramsey, assist king Mesut Ozil and defensive stalwarts Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, 'this could be the year Arsenal win the Premier League', according to Napoli manager Rafael Benitez.
A Champions League winner with Liverpool and a Europa League winner with Chelsea, Benitez is well aware of achieving success with an English club. He also has knowledge of Premier League culture and what it takes to outwit other managers in the dugout.
For the Spaniard, though, who has guided Napoli to third in the Serie A thus far this season having rejuvenated a squad following the exit of peak striker Edinson Cavani to Paris Saint Germain, there is no one better than Arsene Wenger: 'For me Wenger is the best coach in the Premier League and knows what his team must do,' he is quoted by ESPN to have said.
'Arsenal will try to control possession and hit us with counter attacks. We have to do our thing, focus on ourselves and not on them,' he added, noting the magnitude of the task that lay ahead, when the two sides clash later this evening, December 11 in the final group game of the Champions League.
'In modern football everyone knows the quality of their rivals. Arsenal is a very strong side.'
