Transfer talk: Featuring Kompany, Milito and Eto'o

Transfer news from Manchester City, QPR, West Ham United, Chelsea, Sunderland and Arsenal.

Arsenal reportedly had scouts watching Davy Klaasen of Ajax this weekend - where he scored a hat-trick against NAC Breda. The Dutch attacking midfielder has been compared to Gunners legend Dennis Bergkamp.

The Manuel Neuer to Manchester City rumours have been batted away by Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola.

The German international was linked with a potential £40 million switch to the Premier League this week but the former Barcelona manager was short and swift with his rebuke when questioned on the topic:

‘’No chance.’’

That’s the end of that then.

Manchester City and Bayern face off in the Champions League this evening.

Monaco are apparently after Vincent Kompany. The Belgian defender, who has given no indication of actually wanting to leave The Etihad, is reportedly being earmarked as one of their centre-back targets for next summer.

Looks like the Neuer story has good ‘Kompany’ in the ridiculous rumour section.

Former Chelsea, Arsenal and West Ham player Yossi Benayoun has signed for yet another London club - after agreeing on a short-term contract with QPR.

Harry Redknapp has moved to bring in the Israeli cult hero after he impressed on a recent trial. His contract is until the end of the season and he will hope to push QPR to promotion.

Next stop, Brentford?

West Ham are reportedly looking at Diego Milito of Inter Milan. The free-scoring Argentine is out of contract at the end of the season and is no longer a mainstay figure in the Nerazzuri squad.

He could be bought for a reduced price and would help The Hammers score some goals.

Sunderland are reportedly after QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar. The stopper has lost his place to Robert Green at Loftus Road this season after starting the season injured.

Redknapp is keen to offload his wages in the summer and Sunderland are said to not be convinced with Kieren Westwood or Vito Mannone.

Cesar wants regular football ahead of the World Cup next summer.

Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o wants to head to the US next summer in a switch to Major League Soccer.

The Cameroonian only has a one-year deal with the club this season and is expected to leave at the completion of that deal.

And today it is reported that LA Galaxy and DC United would be his preferred destination.
