£30m Manchester United target healthy v Marseille plus Dortmund’s predicted XI

Good news for Jurgen Klopp: Marco Reus, the £30m Arsenal and Manchester United target, is healthy and back in the line up.

It is the theme of the season, too many injuries are worrying Jurgen Klopp ahead of Borussia Dortmund’s last Champions League group match against Olympique de Marseille.

Last years runners-up have to win this game to make it to the knock-out stage. Dortmund is ahead of third placed Napoli thanks to a better goal difference but Klopp’s side is in need of a win to control their own destiny.

A healthy squad would have helped with that but Arsenal’s Champions League group rivals have a long injury list which reads itself like a who's who of transfer targets:

Sven Bender, Mats Hummels, Neven Subotic, Marcel Schmelzer and Ilkay Gundogan will miss the game. Nuri Sahin is still questionable.

The good news for Jurgen Klopp: Marco Reus, the £30m attacking midfielder, who is targeted by Arsenal and Manchester United, is healthy and back in the line up.

Reus suffered a bruised ankle a week a ago and had to skip Dortmund’s DFB cup game against FC Saarbrucken.

Defensive midfielder Sven Bender, who broke his nose three weeks ago vs. SSC Napoli but played through this injury, said before the game via German football magazine kicker:

“Napoli was the half final, and now the final is coming.”

The German international suffered an ankle injury recently and will be sidelined for this game against Olympique de Marseille. He referred to September 2011 where his side lost to Marseille 0-3. We saw how tough it is to succeed there, Bender said.

“We learned. […] We slept three times” while playing Marseille in 2011 and they scored three times the 24-year-old insisted. Bender is confident that this won’t happen again and hopes his side will join Arsenal in the next stage.
