Real Madrid star linked to AS Monaco and Manchester United was not happy with his substitution at the weekend, bringing back memories of Arsenal's star man.
Angel di Maria's future has been the subject of much speculation this weekend, with it reported Real Madrid have accepted a 35 million offer from AS Monaco for his services.
The only person standing between the switch being ratified is manager Carlo Ancelotti, who may have cause to sanction it after the weekend.
Di Maria has fallen out of favour of late, and was picked to start with the second string during the Copa del Rey game with third division Olimpic Xativa at the weekend.
The match finished in a disappointing 0-0 draw, but the headlines were dominated post-game by Di Maria's outburst at his manager after being substituted.
After aiming a couple of comments towards his manager he marched off down the tunnel, clearly unhappy at the decision.
Spanish newspaper Marca believes it could be a significant development:
"He headed straight for the dressing room, frowning and intent on showing his displeasure. Something that did not escape Ancelotti's notice. Time will tell if this was the beginning of a disagreement or simply an outburst but the incident became the news of the night, besides the surprising goalless draw. This is likely the start of a Di Maria saga."
The last player to act in this way, was Mesut Ozil back in August. After being substituted in Real's narrow win over Granada back in August, he stormed off showing his displeasure.
Days later he was sold to Arsenal. It could be that Ancelotti decides now that Di Maria has too sealed his fate.
