One player in demand ahead of the January transfer window is St Etienne and France under-21 defender Kurt Zouma.
The versatile centre-half has shot to fame at the Ligue 1 side, and despite still only being 19 is adjudged as one of the top players in his position in France.
However, over the last couple of days a number of other top European clubs have entered the race for his signature.
Inter Milan are ready to make a splash in the transfer market in the new year after being bought by new owners, while Monaco are the latest to have a link to Zouma.
RMC claim that Claudio Ranieri’s men are looking for young defenders at the moment, with the likes of Eric Abidal and Ricardo Carvalho coming to the end of their careers.
Zouma has made over 50 Ligue 1 appearances for St Etienne, making his debut in 2011 as a 17-year-old.
He has also represented France from under-16 level through to the under-21’s, with some campaigning for the defender to be called up to the senior side ahead of next summer’s World Cup.
Zouma is currently serving a ten-match ban for a challenge that broke an opponent’s leg, while his future is truly up in the air with the January transfer window less than a month away.
