Michy Batshuayi has had quite a week, with his club president declaring Arsenal were interested in the Standard Liege striker.
The 20-year-old Belgian hotshot has been in superb form, bagging 10 goals in his last 10 games - but that became 10 in 11 this weekend.
He did not start the game away to Oud-Heverlee, a drab 0-0 draw in the Jupiler Pro League, with his absence mystifying supporters and scouts who were no doubt in attendance to check him out.
Belgian news channel RTBF reported that he turned up three minutes late for the team bus, and was subsequently axed from the starting line-up his manager.
He did make it on in the second half, but was unable to turn the game in his side's favour.
After several days of transfer speculation, including Batshuayi describing Arsenal and Borussia Dormund as his dream clubs, it was a comedown to earth for the prospect.
Manager Guy Luzon, who is destined to lose him anyway at some stage, clearly felt it was important to teach him a lesson.
