All the latest news and gossip from the weekend at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have lost to Stoke City in dramatic style this weekend. The Blues travelled to the Britannia Stadium hoping to close the gap on Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table and seemed on their way with an early Andre Schurrle goal.
But Peter Crouch and Stephen Ireland gave Stoke the lead before Schurrle pulled Chelsea level one more time.
Then came the moment that changed the result - Liverpool loanee Oussama Assaidi cutting in from the left and rifling a right foot strike beyond Petr Cech for 3-2.
Jose Mourinho admitted after the game that his team were ‘in trouble’ after once again conceding three goals - just a few days after doing the same thing against Sunderland:
"I don't feel comfortable enough to tell you what I think about the game. We're in trouble. It is a concern [conceding so many goals]. I don't like it, I don't organise my teams to be like this."
He also reacted with spike when asked why goalscorer Schurrle was substituted in the game responding "I am not stupid" and stating the German had a calf problem.
In terms of the other end of the pitch, putting the ball in the back of the net, they have been dealt a blow if any pursuit of Monaco striker Radamel Falcao was serious this winter.
Because the clubs vice president Vadim Vasiliyev has stated categorically that the Colombian is going nowhere in January:
"He is very happy here, he feels very good in Monaco. He loves this club."
Chelsea’s young guns on loan with Vitesse Arnhem have been on fire this weekend. They helped the team go to the top of the Eredivisie league table after thrashing PSV Eindhoven 6-2 away from home.
A Chelsea loanee was directly involved, assisting or scoring, in every single goal scored for Vitesse.
Juventus are said to be keeping tabs on Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian seems to have a strained relationship with Jose Mourinho - and is currently starring for Everton on a season-long loan deal.
Now the Bianconeri are linked with taking advantage of the situation.
The FA Cup draw was today and Chelsea will face high flying Derby County in the third round.
