Barcelona beat lowly Cartagena 4-1 in the Copa del Rey on Friday night, with the Camp Nou outfit taking a massive advantage into the second leg of the round of 16 tie.
The Catalan giants had to come back from 1-0 down however, but goals from Cesc Fabregas, Jean Marie Dongou and a Pedro double secured the handsome win.
It was something of a night to forget for Alexis Sanchez, who had a glorious chance to get his name on the scoresheet, but blew in spectacular fashion as you can see here.
Sanchez was a forlorn figure as he was withdrawn from the encounter after 77 minutes.
The Chile international has been clinical this season, netting eight goals in only 11 appearances for the current La Liga leaders. One of the most important of the South American’s goals came against Real Madrid in a 2-1 win in the first Clasico encounter of the campaign.
Sanchez has started nine of Barca’s 15 La Liga clashes, and the fact that he is not an automatic starter for the historic club has led to speculation that Manchester United could be keen to sign the forward.
This seems unlikely given Sanchez’s form, but maybe David Moyes will think twice if he watches this video…
