Chelsea have been defeated away from home by Stoke City at The Britannia Stadium. In a hell of a fight at The Britannia Stadium as Stoke City did not allow Jose Mourinho’s side to go within one point with league leaders Arsenal.
Things seemed to be going swimmingly after nine minutes after German international Andre Schurrle picked up a pass from John Obi Mikel before a quick turn and shot from just outside the box to give The Blues the lead.
Chelsea then continued to dominate proceedings but were soon punished for not taking their chances when The Potters equalised.
Petr Cech, usually so good aerially from corners, struggled with a free kick and the ball ended up at the feet of Petr Crouch who equalised.
But it was not long after the second half that Stoke took the lead. Stephen Ireland curled a wonderful effort beyond Cech, however they did not have the lead for long.
Schurrle, who had scored just one in his last 15, bagged his brace with a goal just minutes later when he fired home a half-hearted clearance from a Stoke City clearance.
The game continued to swing both ways and even got a bit physical late on - but in the 90th minute drama struck.
Liverpool loanee Oussama Assaidi showed his ability on the wing before cutting in and firing home a magnificent chance beyond Cech in the Chelsea goal for a stunning 3-2 victory for Mark Hughes and co.
