Transfer talk: Featuring Anderson, Bendtner and Gauld

Nicklas Bendtner Arsenal

Transfer news relating to Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

Anderson is being linked with a move back to Porto this morning. The Brazilian has barely featured for Manchester United this season as his injury struck Old Trafford career continues to look doomed.

David Moyes is expected to move some players on this January, and Anderson will be at the top of that list.

He has also been linked with joining up with former coach Rene Meulensteen at Fulham, however it now seems Porto are interested in taking him back.

Ryan Gauld has recently been linked with a number of top clubs - including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Bayern Munich after his exceptional campaign with Dundee United so far.

He has been dubbed the ‘Mini-Messi’ by the press after his recent performances at Tannadice.

Manchester United are also said to be keen on bringing the player in - but today he has been told to ignore the overtures of European giants by SFA performance director Mark Wotte:

“I wouldn’t advise taking a massive step. I mean, people are talking about Real Madrid being interested in Ryan Gauld. For me, that is ridiculous.”

Luis Suarez of course features in the news once again - it would not be a day in the footballing universe if he didn’t.

Yesterday he told Spanish paper Marca that he had no desire to leave the Premier League - and the rumours today suggest that the club are now considering giving him a new contract.

He has two and a half years left on his current deal but his recent form seems to have potentially convinced Liverpool staff that he warrants a new deal at the club.

And Brendan Rodgers has confirmed those reports:

"We want him to stay and, with his contract running for two and a half years, I am sure there will be something between now and the end of the season to keep him here.”

In other news….

- Sporting Lisbon want Liverpool defender Tiago Ilori on loan. The youngster only moved to Anfield from the Portuguese capital in the summer.

- Nicklas Bendtner is still expected to leave Arsenal - despite his goal-scoring performance against Hull City this week. However it is reported he might be able to earn a new deal if he continues to improve.
