David Moyes and Marouane Fellaini to Manchester United... what could go wrong?
Everton meanwhile have actually kicked on, gone are the doubters that Roberto Martinez would drag them towards relegation - they are looking at a genuine shot at the Champions League.
Their midfield looks more cohesive with Ross Barkley in there than Marouane Fellaini, and United simply haven't worked out what they do with him.
Could it be that Moyes was actually holding Everton back? If the power really has shifted, then here are three more under-performers at Everton they should try and dump on the Red Devils...
It wasn't so long ago Jelavic was one of the most in-form strikers in the Premier League. Now he has a total of 0 Premier League goals this season. Hmm... perhaps United aren't quite that desperate. Are they?
A World Cup finalist, close friend of Robin van Persie... what's not to like about Jonny Heitinga? Only his form over the past two years, no biggie. Still with Rio Ferdinand set to be put out to pasture, and Moyes likely to spend his next summer chasing the likes of Thiago Silva and Sergio Ramos, he could end up having to make a desperate lunge for his former player at the 11th hour, no?
Ah this is more like it. Osman was capped by England not so long ago and in the eyes of many is an excellent player. However he has come in for plenty of criticism among Everton fans of late, and played a combined 12 minutes in key matches against Liverpool and Manchester United. He might actually be the sort of player David Moyes would go for, he certainly got the best out of him at Everton. And the worst of it all is, Osman even now would be an improvement on Manchester United's lacklustre midfield.
