I am casting my eye back to this exact day, the 6th December 2013, but a year earlier.
What were the main tales from that day? What big events were happening in Premier League football?
Here are some of the big scoops from the 6th December 2012…
Dempsey the hero
Tottenham came through a tight Europa League game against Panathinaikos at White Hart Lane - but their star player that night no longer plays for the club.
They won 3-1 thanks to goals from Emmanuel Adebayor, Orestis Karnezis (OG) and Jermain Defoe - but it was American Clint Dempsey who was the star performer.
But this was one of only a handful of top performances for the club whilst in North London - as he struggled to replicate his Craven Cottage form for Andre Villas-Boas.
This summer he was allowed to join Seattle Sounders back in his native United States.
Arshav-on yer' bike
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger told Andrei Arshavin that he was no longer wanted at the club. The Russian was at one point the clubs record signing from Zenit St Petersburg but was struggling to replicate his best form at The Emirates.
Wenger reportedly told him to find a new team in January, or be frozen out of the first team.
Wenger went on to deny the story later on, suggesting the Russian was in fact working hard in training but admitted he was not part of the team’s long-term future.
He stayed, and re-joined Zenit on a free transfer this summer.
Liverpool chase a Honda
Liverpool were being linked with a £12 million swoop for CSKA Moscow star Keisuke Honda. The Japanese attacker was being linked with plenty of teams in the January window as he entered the final year of his contract at the Russian club.
Liverpool never made a move for the player - who is set to join AC Milan in January on a free transfer.
