Some of the key stories surrounding Liverpool Football Club on this Friday afternoon.
Liverpool forward Iago Aspas’ agent is set to have talks with the club over the striker’s future.
Aspas only joined from Celta Vigo during the summer window but has been the subject of much press speculation over a move away from Anfield.
The forward has only made a total of seven first team appearances for the club since he moved to Anfield, the latest as a late substitute against Norwich on Friday night.
Aspas’ agent, Jose Rodriguez Baster told Sky Sports: ‘In two weeks I have a meeting in Liverpool with the Liverpool directors to analyse the future of Iago Aspas in January.
‘Up to now the news in the papers is simply rumours
‘Some clubs have made enquiries, but the decision will be made by the directors of Liverpool.’
Ex-Liverpool midfielder Jan Molby has said that Luis Suarez must be worth at least £100m and praised Liverpool for keeping hold of the player despite not being able to offer Champions League football.
‘I expect one of two clubs to have a nibble in January and I wouldn’t rule out Arsenal being one of those.’
‘We’re getting good results and, for me, I’ve been playing a lot more football and really enjoying it. I think that’s mainly down to the team doing so well.
‘I just want to improve all the time, whether that’s in training or off the field physically and mentally. I’ve tried to get into the best possible shape.
‘But also I’ve enjoyed the greater responsibility, I love that. To be at a big club like Liverpool and have that sort of responsibility, I’ve just tried to deal with that the best way I can.’
