Aston Villa fans hijack BT's #AskMcLeish Q&A

Birmingham City fans were not too happy either.

Alex McLeish was once regarded as a managerial hot property, but his reputation lies largely tattered now.

Despite leading Birmingham City to a 2011 League Cup win, he also oversaw their relegation to the Championship twice including that same season, and then jumped ship to rivals Aston Villa.

What happened next was a miserable campaign for all concerned. Villa were dragged against the odds into a relegation battle, and produced some of the worst football they have done in their recent history.

He was promptly fired by owner Randy Lerner, and new manager Paul Lambert spent much of last season trying to rectify his mistakes.

Meanwhile former Rangers boss McLeish was hired by Nottingham Forest, and departed the Championship club months later after a disagreement with their new owners.

Nowdays he is doing punditry work, with BT, who last night organised a Q&A session with fans asked to send in their questions via Twitter. Oh dear.

Always set for disaster as these things invariably are - Aston Villa fans seized on the chance to tear their former boss a new one. These are the clean ones...
