Liverpool starlet Luis Alberto has been speaking in his homeland about his switch to Liverpool and his prospects going forward.

Liverpool starlet Luis Alberto could be braced for a big role over the next few weeks, with Brendan Rodgers this week admitting the time was right for him to show what he can do in the first team.

The youngster came off the bench against Norwich last night and impressed in his 21 minute cameo, further confirming belief he can be an asset especially with Daniel Sturridge out injured.

Alberto has in the past 24 hours had an interview published with Spanish newspaper Marca, about his transfer to the club and hopes going forward.

Here is a selection of the highlights...

On his making his debut as a substitute in the 1-0 win over Manchester United...

"It was very nice, an important moment in the memory. It is always is in a match against Manchester United a derby, it's always a little more special."

What he can bring to the club?

"I think, more clubs here in England, they are bringing quality players, for a little change in playing style, more technical, more flair, more quality and good. I hope to get to a faster pace and prove that I can show my style of play... it is true that so far I have not had many opportunities but hey I have to get the opportunity, I hope it is sooner than later, but you have to have patience also for the players we have."

On Luis Suarez:

"I believe will always be speculation, and especially good with a player who is probably the best in the world, but in the end, but what happened happened because now I think we're seeing he has it all. He has a hat trick, and scored 9 goals in no time (speaking before the Norwich game) and we will help a lot.  I think I see him very cheerful at all times."

His footballing idol:

Zinedine Zidane.
