Balotelli craves 'normal life'

AC Milan enigma Mario Balotelli has claimed that he would like a 'normal life' and explains his 'this is the end' tweet.

In a letter written to Italian TV show Verissimo, Mario Balotelli explained that he feels hounded by the Italian press.

The Rossoneri marksman is rarely off the pages of Italy's sports newspapers and during a difficult start to the seaspn on the pitch, Balotelli's private life was often the subject of speculation.

The striker's agent Mino Raiola has claimed in the past that the level of press intrusion may force Super Mario to move abroad again and his client seems to have backed that up.

"I know I'm a lucky guy," Balotelli writes. "But at times I'd also like to be able to live like a normal person."

After Milan's draw with Genoa in which Balotelli missed a penalty, he tweeted 'this is the end', leaving the press to speculate that he may be ready to leave the Diavolo.

Balotelli revealed that the tweet was in support of Giorgio Petrosyan - a close friend and welterweight kickboxer.

"Every little gesture is used to make news," he complained. "Even a simple tweet dedicated to a true friend, a fighter and a healthy sportsman like me.

"It's not like that abroad. I guess this is why Time Magazine included me in their 100 Most Influential People in the World list."

It now looks less likely that Balotelli will quit Milan and he has enjoyed a better run of form after scoring in wins over Celtic and Catania, although the latter triumph was marred by claims that Argentine defender Nicolas Spolli racially abused Balotelli.
